This month I am featuring a Black LP Special from ‘92. It’s very close to the original one I owned for the HITS tour (1990). 30 years ago when the tour began and I would always use this guitar for the show opener, “I Stole Your Love”. It features cream binding, and a rosewood fingerboard. I upgraded the pickups to Dimarzio’s, DP 154, and 162 DLX, both great sounding mini humbuckers. I added gold bonnet knobs and pickup toggle tip add contrast to the black. I don’t know when I sold the original, but this one is very close in features, tone and vibe. It has a cool sound, with the mahogany body and these unique pickups. Black finish, for KISS coolness.
