Classic Pancake Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions: How to Make Classic Homemade Pancakes

  1. Start by getting out your large mixing bowl, sifter, sugar, and salt. Sift your flour into the bowl then add the baking powder, sugar, and salt together and combine them.
  2. Add in your wet ingredients: milk, vanilla extract, egg, and melted butter into the large bowl and whisk it all together until it is smooth.
  3. Set your non-stick pan or griddle to medium heat and lightly grease it with butter. Once it’s heated, use a ladle or measuring cup to pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the surface. Cook until you start seeing bubbles form on the surface with a golden brown bottom; it should take about 1-2 minutes. Then flip your pancake using a spatula and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Serve your family and friends!
