This 1989 Fender Strat Plus has a fantastic clean sound which was used on the Revenge recording of “God Gave Rock N Roll To You”. Our producer Bob Ezrin wanted a sweet guitar tone that could weave in and out the verses of the song. This Fender Strat was a perfect choice. You can hear this guitar, starting at 1:02 seconds of the song, and it appears again in the second verse at 1:58.
It features a rosewood fingerboard, and a big reason for the clean Strat tones are the LACE pickups. Not a likely touring guitar, but a great one for recording. You all know I like yellow guitars, so it’s similar in color to my “Banana” ESP M-1 Guitar!
