Description
During the production of the Asylum LP in 1985, Bruce collaborated with three different guitar manufacturers to create new instruments. One of these was a custom-made Jackson Soloist featuring a striking Zebra paint scheme. Bruce personally designed the guitar, sketching his vision on a sheet of paper and providing it to the talented craftsmen at Jackson, who brought the design to life.
This guitar was a true rock machine featuring neck-through construction, a single EMG humbucker, an original Floyd Rose tremolo system, and eye-catching gold and black hardware. Bruce relied on this instrument extensively throughout the entire 1985-1986 KISS Asylum tour. However, its most notable appearance came in KISS’s “UH! All Night” music video, where Bruce exclusively used the Zebra Soloist!
